Long-term monitoring and treatment of any chronic illness enhances the likelihood of better outcomes...

Louis E. Baxter, Sr., M.D, Past President: American Society of Addiction Medicine

Lifespan Recovery Management (LRM) is simply recognition that a chronic disorder needs a lifespan model to treat it.

LRM provides for:

• minimally invasive interventions
• cognitive-behavioral (SMART) and spiritual (12-Step) paths
• lifespan monitoring
• minimization of stigma
• success/not failure

A Model For Treating the Chronic Disease of Addiction

The Lifespan Recovery Management (LRM) model is built upon accurate and thorough assessments along the path of recovery. An initial assessment is likely to lead to a level of care recommendation. Levels of care change as the disorder begins to stabilize. The major difference between LRM and acute care models is that treatment for a chronic disorder is continuous over the course of a lifetime. The minimal level of care is semi-annual recovery check-ups to assess the quality of a person’s recovery and the risks that can lead to a recurrence.  Recurrences may be avoided or minimized.

The process can begin with an initial, no cost, consultation. People may also join LRM upon completing the goals of withdrawal management or residential care.

It begins with a phone call (561) 398-8696.
